Breaking News: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan summoned by ED for questioning in Delhi regarding Panama Papers Leak

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been summoned by the ED in connection with the Panama papers. 

The actor may appear before the probe agency today. 

The Enforcement Directorate wants to question her over allegations of keeping wealth abroad in connection to Panama Papers.

She is also asked to appear before ED's Delhi office on Monday (December 20). Aishwarya Rai was also summoned earlier by ED on November 9, 2021 under Section 37 FEMA. The summon was sent to her Mumbai residence 'Pratiksha.' The actress was asked to respond within 15 days. According to reports, Bachchan has sought another date for questioning.

However, the reports said that Amitabh Bachchan was also summoned by ED for questioning. According to ANI, “the ED has registered a money-laundering case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 in the matter.”
